Heliocentric Overdrive is an alternative/psychedelic rock band from the Philadelphia area, founded by musician Tom Lugo of Middletown Township, Delaware County, PA. A staple of the Philadelphia indie, shoegaze, and post-punk scene for over a decade, Lugo has been involved in numerous bands and musical projects that have received national and international attention.

Featuring Tom Lugo on guitar and vocals, Lem Pidlaoan on drums, and Ian Falcon on bass, Heliocentric Overdrive blends heavy grooves, atmospheric guitars, psychedelic textures, and an experimental edge, channeling the energy of Philly’s independent music scene into a sound that is raw, expansive, and distinctly its own.

With its current lineup, Heliocentric Overdrive has pushed further into improvisation, infusing a jam-driven element into its music that makes every performance unique. Songs stretch, evolve, and take unexpected turns onstage, allowing the band to play night after night while delivering a completely different experience each time.
