Heliocentric Overdrive is a Philadelphia-based psych-shoegaze trio formed from decades of collective live experience in the indie rock underground. Originally a recording project created by Tommy Lugo, the band became a full live act three years ago with the addition of bassist Ian Falcon and drummer Lem Pidlaoan, quickly earning a reputation for immersive, high-energy performances enhanced by synchronized lights and projections.

Blending psychedelic rock, shoegaze, indie, and stoner influences—what they call “psych-sludge-gaze”—their sound is heavy yet melodic, atmospheric yet hook-driven, with lyrics exploring themes of the paranormal, alien encounters, love, loss, and the strange edges of human experience.

They’ve released four singles—“Burn It Down,” “Unnecessary,” “Into the Stars,” and “Loyalty & Blame”—along with the EP Weightless, and are currently working on a full-length album while expanding their touring footprint.
